Cry Cyclops,Tam Vantage & Laura Norda @ Northcote Social Club
Reanimated from the ashes of Bits of Shit, Cry Cyclops formed in 2025 in order to continue their former life’s work of blasting you in the face with fast, loud, greasy Australian punk n roll. With last year spent locked in a practice room writing and sharpening up their material, the lid has now come off and they are invading the venues around Melbourne one by one. An album has been recorded and is looking at a mid year release, so before they take over your world you can catch them at the Northcote Social Club Monday June 8th, the King’s Birthday. God Save The King! He ain’t no human thing!
Tam Vantage and full band will be performing his 3rd album ‘Laughing Gas & Apple Pie’ in it's entirety for a 5 year anniversary, one time only show. Released in 2021, the album was a more attacking, energetic, and aggressive record than the jangle/shoegaze of his 2017 album 'Show Me To The Sun', or his 2015 debut ,'Life In High Definition'. A self-released run of 100 vinyl LP's was made with DIY spraypainted jackets, and is since out of print. The live band will consist of Chris Korczynski on lead guitar, Chris Simmonds on bass, and Scott Brique on drums. Recently, Vantage has been working on an album of obscure Australian covers, as well as an album of heart-felt pop songs, and is eager and excited to perform 'Laughing Gas & Apple Pie' one last time before he goes back into the studio to record new work.
Laura Norda is the brainchild of Laura Scheirich and Aidan McDonald. Their songs will tear your heart apart and mend it back together all in the same breath. With a lineup featuring talents from Private Function, Lizard Queen, Good Morning, and Steel Wheels, Laura Norda’s 90s inspired rock and roll will have you saying “dun dun”. Their debut self-titled album is out now.
